It is one of the fenua\u2019s major events and one of the reasons for the high season. <\/p><div dir=\"auto\">Thanks to our prime location on the shores of Cook Bay and near the strait, it\u2019s not uncommon to spot them right from the hotel. Blowholes on the horizon, tail fins breaking the surface, or even impressive breaches: guests can enjoy this spectacle from the beach, the suites\u2019 terrace, or the restaurant. One of our most memorable moments was when a whale swam right up to our floating dock, just next to the bar. It comes in showers: intense at first, then the sun comes out again. <strong>Sometimes it rains for a few days in a row<\/strong>, yes. But most of the time, the days are beautiful.  <\/p><p>Next, this is our favorite time of year, and we\u2019re not afraid to admit it. In November and December, the water warms up, the days get longer, and <strong>the island is bursting with fruit and flowers<\/strong>. Nature is never greener than it is at this time of year. It\u2019s no wonder the landscapes are so lush.   <\/p><p>Finally, there are fewer people around. Just before the holidays, <strong>Polynesia empties out of tourists<\/strong>.
