1. What are the check-in and check-out times?
Our hotel rooms are available from 2pm on the day of arrival and have to be vacated by 11am on the day of departure.
2. Can I arrive to the hotel earlier and enjoy the facilities prior to checking in?
Yes. If you fly into Tahiti or Moorea early in the morning, you are welcome to arrive at the hotel from 7am. Our friendly staff members will be able to store your belongings in a dedicated space.
We also offer the option to pre-book breakfast when booking your stay via our website so you can dine on arrival.
All facilities including the swimming pool and restaurant are accessible while you wait for your check-in.
Early check-ins and late check-outs can also be arranged (subject to availability) and are priced at XPF 12,000 per room.
3. How to get to the hotel?
The hotel is located a short 15-minute drive from the airport and ferry terminal.
If you haven’t booked a rental car for your stay in Moorea, you can easily jump in a taxi however we do recommend to book it in advance for peace of mind.
4. Where can I park?
Located at the back of the hotel, our car park is available to all in-house guests. More information will be shared with you prior to your arrival.
Alternatively, additional car parks are available at Paopao’s cruise terminal located next door.
5. What is the time difference?
The islands of French Polynesia (Marquises and Gambier archipelagos excepted) are located on the same time zone as Hawaii: UTC-10.
Marquisian islands are 30 minutes ahead of the island of Tahiti and the Gambier one hour.
The time difference between Paris and Tahiti is 11 or 12 hours depending on the time of year, as day light saving is not a thing in French Polynesia.
Therefore, when it’s noon in Paris, it’s midnight or 1am in Tahiti.
And in the rest of the world?
- -2 or 3 hours with the West Coast of the United States
- -19 hours with Tokyo and Sydney
- -22 hours with Auckland
6. What is the nightly room rate?
You can find our prices on our booking page.
7. Is breakfast included in the room rate?
It's totally up to you to add breakfast or not when you book on our website.
Our breakfast offer includes 4 concepts : continental, american, healthy and Polynesian. Once on-property (or prior to your arrival), you will be able to pay for the associated supplement.
8. What are the hygiene products displayed in the bathrooms?
Soap, shower gel and shampoo are made at your disposal.
Part of our global environmental commitment, we are proud to offer zero waste products, locally made in Tahiti, with great respect to your skin and the environment.
9. What is provided in the kitchen?
All rooms are equiped with kitchenettes. They include all the needed equipment for the preparation of quick and easy meals (double hot plates, cooker hood, microwaves, refrigerator).
Cleaning kit provided for dishwashing purpose.
10. Is an internet connexion provided ?
We include a free quality internet connexion (fiber optical link).
It is still challenging to get online around the island. Very few locations offer free wifi connexions. Should you need a permanent internet connexion even off-property, you can rent a WiFi router at Tahiti international airport for your entire stay duration.
11. What is the money used in Tahiti?
The local currency is the French Pacific Francs (XPF). The exchange rate is fixed against euro (€) : 100 F.CFP = 0.838 Euros or 1 Euro = 119.33 F.CFP.
12. Can we easily withdraw money in Moorea?
The 3 main banks of French Polynesia each have a branch downtown (Maharepa), minutes away from the hotel.
We advise you to check the withdrawals conditions with your bank.
Banks in Moorea do not offer currency echange any more but a counter at Tahiti international airport does.
Upon request we can propose currency exchange and cash-out services at reception.
13. How can we pay for our purchases in stores and in the street stalls ?
Most of the operators on the island generally accept dollars and euros, in addition to the local currency: the French Pacific franc.
The exchange rate is fixed against the euro (100 F. CFP = 0.838 euros or 1 Euro = 119.332 F. CFP).
For payments and withdrawals with a credit or debit card, we invite you to read the detailed conditions of your bank and check if fees apply.
14. When is the best time to visit Moorea ?
The sun shines daily in Moorea but sometimes between two showers!
French Polynesia has a tropical climate with two seasons: the so-called "rainy season" from November to April, or austral summer, with high temperatures and very high humidity ; and the dry season, or austral winter, which is characterized by more comfortable temperatures between 71° and 86° Fanhrenheit (22 ° C and 30 ° C).
In general, the climate is rather pleasant all year round!
